Three people have been arrested and thousands of dollars in stolen items recovered after the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office tracked down suspects in the burglary of a Niceville area antiques business.

The OCSO responded to Lily Pads on 4650 East State Road 20 around 8 a.m. February 7th after an employee arrived to find several empty cases which had contained jewelry and loose gems. Also missing were checks, antiques, and high end purses and home décor.

Investigators developed several individuals as potential suspects.

The next day deputies learned one of the suspects, 30-year old Robert Cheatham of Freeport, had been arrested at the Destin Walmart on unrelated charges. Cheatham had a book of Lily Pads business checks in his custody.

A second suspect, 21-year old Raven Chavis of Niceville, was also arrested February 8th for separate and unrelated crimes. Chavis was interviewed at the Okaloosa County Jail and admitted taking part in the Lily Pads burglary, along with Cheatham and 44-year old Tina Chavis. Tina Chavis was wearing some of the stolen merchandise at the time of her arrest.

A search warrant was executed at 1778 Thomas Street in Niceville February 9th and investigators positively identified a large amount of stolen property.

Both Raven Chavis and Tina Chavis are charged with burglary, grand theft over $100,000, dealing in stolen property and use of a two way communication device to facilitate a felony.

Cheatham is also charged with burglary and grand theft over $100,000.

Investigators say though they’ve recovered a large amount of the stolen items, some merchandise is not yet accounted for. They’re asking anyone with information to contact the OCSO at 850-651-7400.
