The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit will debut its new K9 training facility tomorrow morning, thanks to a partnership with the Okaloosa County School District.

The agency’s K9 handlers and their dogs will be using approximately five acres of land near the Choice High School and Technical Center at 1976 Lewis Turner Boulevard, replacing a facility on Air Force property off Martin Luther King Boulevard near Fort Walton Beach.

Unlike the former training area, the new site offers a facility with running water and air conditioning.

A ribbon-cutting is scheduled for Tuesday morning, July 21st, at 8:30 a.m.

The media is invited to attend.
