The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man involved in passing counterfeit bills in Destin August 5th.
In one incident, he paid for items at Mojo Sports, 4324 Legendary Drive, with four fake $20 bills.
Earlier in the day, he had been a part of a party of nine people, including women and children, at Margaritaville, 76 Harbor Boulevard. That bill, which was nearly $300, was also paid with counterfeit $20 bills.
The OCSO is asking anyone with information on the individual’s identity to please contact the agency at 850-651-7400. You can also provide the information anonymously to Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at emeraldcoastcrimetoppers.com or 1-850-863-TIPS. If your information leads to an arrest you can be eligible for a cash reward of up to $3000.
