The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a pedestrian traffic fatality on Harbor Boulevard in Destin Monday night.
Deputies responded to the area around 116 Harbor Boulevard around 9:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a man walking his bicycle across the highway being struck by a car. The victim, in his early 60’s with no known address at this time, started from the south side of the road and walked across eastbound traffic before entering the westbound lanes and being hit by a driver from Kentucky. The victim was pronounced dead at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. Next of kin notification has not yet been made.
