The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a second incident of a threatening message being handwritten on a wall in a high school bathroom.

The OCSO and Okaloosa County School District notified parents last week of a handwritten threat on a bathroom stall at Crestview High School that mentioned “bullies” being targeted on April 17th.

Deputies and school district officials say a student at Choctawhatchee High School notified the School Resource Officer today of a message threatening bullies at Choctaw on April 22nd. The message was written on a tile on a bathroom wall. The student says he noticed it Friday but didn’t report it until this morning.

The bathroom stalls at Choctawhatchee High had all been checked for graffiti during the school day Friday morning and none was found. The student says he saw the message after 12:15.

School Superintendent Mary Beth Jackson says she will be placing a robo-call out to Choctawhatchee High School parents in the dialer system. Anyone with information is asked to call the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office at 850-651-7420 or Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at 850-863-TIPS, emeraldcoastcrimestoppers.com or Text “TIP214 plus your message” to CRIMES (274637).
