The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a drive-by shooting that took place around 9:30 Monday night near the intersection of 3rd Street and 9th Avenue in Shalimar.
25-year old Shacori Smith was struck once in the left leg and taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center for treatment.
Smith says he was walking south on 3rd Street when the car drove by and someone opened fire.
Investigators believe the subject was in a dark blue or black smaller vehicle.
