KESAIAN ARREST REPORT

A Panama City man faces multiple felony charges after using fake credit cards to withdraw cash from an ATM machine in Destin early this morning.

57-year old Gagik Kesaian is charged by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office with grand theft, fraudulent use of a credit card, trafficking in counterfeit credit cards, criminal use of personal identification information, and a scheme to defraud a financial institution.

An OCSO deputy responded to a call of suspicious activity at the Hancock Whitney Bank on Emerald Coast Parkway shortly before 4 a.m. Monday after a man was seen covering up the camera at the ATM machine and making multiple transactions with multiple cards, maxing out each card being used. .

The deputy spotted a white truck pulling away from the bank and initiated a stop. Kesaian had a crumpled rebel flag sticker in his left hand, the same type sticker used to cover the ATM camera. He consented to a search and the deputies found six receipts from the ATM, $16-hundred dollars in twenties, and more rebel flag stickers as well as a stack of bank cards with no names or numbers on them.

Kesaian claims he found the blank bank cards and believed it to be a way to obtain quick and easy money.
