IOLO ARREST REPORT
Investigators with the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office have arrested another child predator in an undercover sting, targeting offenders who prey on minors via electronic communications. 54-year old Nicholas Iolo of 749 Randall Roberts Road, Fort Walton Beach, contacted an undercover OCSO Investigator who was posing online as a minor. Iolo sent the undercover Investigator sexually explicit messages seven times and explicit photographs three times. He also agreed to meet the minor at a pre-designated location August 16for the purposes of engaging in unlawful sexual activity. When Iolo arrived, Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Investigators took him into custody without incident.
When confronted by Investigators, Iolo admitted to sending the explicit messages.
He is charged with seven counts of use of a computer service to seduce or solicit a minor, three counts of obscene electronic communication with a minor, traveling to meet a minor for an unlawful act, and unlawful use of a two way communication device.
This is the second arrest in three weeks by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, involving adults targeting minor children online. On July 27, Christopher Lee Carpenter was arrested during a similar operation. Parents are encouraged to educated and remind their children and teens about online safety.
