FLORES ARREST REPORT
A Fort Walton Beach man is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after deputies say he attacked his girlfriend’s estranged husband with a knife.
35-year old Alejandro Jose Flores is accused of cutting Brent Griffin multiple times last night during a child custody exchange at Brent Griffin’s Kentucky Avenue home in Crestview.
Flores had gone along with his girlfriend, April Griffin, to the prearranged exchange, but then got into a fight with her estranged husband, Brent. Deputies with the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office say Flores pulled a knife and slashed Brent Griffin across his chest, the left side of his neck up to ear, and his upper left arm. The chest wound took sixty staples to close.
April Griffin was also injured. She was cut across her forehead, right arm, and left wrist. She told deputies her estranged husband attacked her and Flores with a knife, but video and witness statements backed up Brent Griffin’s account of the incident.
