The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a pedestrian last night on Harbor Boulevard (Highway 98) in Destin.
The victim has been identified as 53-year old Richard McIntosh, current address unavailable.
McIntosh had just left the Red Door Saloon when witnesses say he stepped into the outer eastbound lane at 300 Harbor Boulevard and was hit by a motorist who could not avoid him.
McIntosh died at the scene.
It’s the third pedestrian fatality on Highway 98 in Destin this year.
