A Crestview man faces multiple charges after he intentionally rammed someone’s car and sped away from deputies in an escape attempt following a traffic stop yesterday evening.

32-year old Alejandro Jose Flores of 326 Peggy Drive is charged with hit and run involving leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, aggravated fleeing and eluding, driving with a suspended license, felony criminal mischief, resisting an officer, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, tampering with evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia.

It all started Thursday (March 12th) around 5:30 p.m. when a deputy spotted Flores, who has a suspended driver’s license, driving into a parking lot on Racetrack Road. The deputy pulled his car in behind Flores and approached.

Flores refused to exit the car and instead put it in drive and intentionally rammed another car parked near his and took off. He was spotted by another deputy, who then saw Flores pull into the rear parking lot at White-Wilson Medical Center on Hospital Drive. Flores ran into the White-Wilson building, but following a brief chase inside, was taken into custody in front of the Cardiology/EKG room. A search of that room revealed two plastic baggies of Fentanyl. Additional Fentanyl, along with a digital scale containing residue, were also located in Flores’ car.
