Aaron Wanless
A domestic violence suspect who was the subject of an overnight search by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is now in custody. 34-year old Aaron Wanless was located around 9:15 at his home on Kepner Drive in Fort Walton Beach. Deputies had been looking for Wanless following an armed disturbance around 7:30 Wednesday evening at 27 Yacht Club Drive. They had responded to reports of a man threatening a family member with knives. When they got on scene, the individual, later identified as Wanless, came out and fired a weapon at the deputies before fleeing on foot. The OCSO set up a perimeter and brought in a K9 to try to track him. This morning he was located outside his home and taken into custody without incident. Wanless faces charges of aggravated assault and assault on a law enforcement officer.
