Two residents at a Fort Walton Beach apartment complex say a woman tried to break down their doors while they were inside Tuesday night.
33-year old Katie Zepp, no known address, is charged with burglary, attempted burglary, and impairing a dwelling’s power in a burglary attempt.
One victim at the complex at 1862 Stella Lane says a woman knocked on his door around 7:45 p.m., then looked into his apartment window before leaving. She then came back and began turning the door knob and throwing her weight against the door in an attempt to break it down.
A second victim says she was inside her apartment when she heard someone beating and kicking her door. She told the woman outside to go away or she would shoot her. She says Zepp replies, “I will be right back. I have something for you.” Zepp then went to the breaker box and cut off all power to the victim’s apartment before deputies arrived and took her into custody.
