ARREST REPORTS

Five people face felony drug charges after a woman’s phone accidentally dialed 9-1-1 several times and a deputy responded to make sure no one had an emergency.

An Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Deputy was at 92 Bradford Street near Fort Walton Beach June 10th around 9:30 p.m., trying to find out who had placed several 9-1-1 calls. At Apartment #13 he could see through the front door window. Two men, later identified as Brandon Roswell and Kona Mai, were pouring a white powdery substance from a baggie into a container. When the deputy knocked, another occupant, later identified as Kyle Parker, answered the door. The deputy immediately noticed an “overwhelming” odor of marijuana. The five individuals inside the apartment were secured and the deputy notified the OCSO Narcotics Unit to respond. Unit members obtained a search warrant and turned up approximately 21 grams of heroin, six grams of powder cocaine, 152 Xanax bars, 20 partial Xanax bars, a loaded.38 special, and nearly $2500 in cash inside the apartment.

One of the visitors, later identified as Kona Mai, was found to be in possession of 18 grams of crack cocaine. 22-year old Kyle Parker of 92 Bradford Street, Apt. 13 is charged with trafficking in heroin and possession of a controlled substance (cocaine).

25-year old Joseph Wagner of the same address is charged with possession of cocaine with intent to sell, trafficking in heroin, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

21-year old Brandon Roswell of the same address is charged with possession of cocaine with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia.

21-year old Kona Keoki Mai of 1730 Quail Path, F.W.B., is charged with possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute and tampering with evidence.
