CAREER:  Florida’s Gulfarium 1965 as Porpoise Trainer,  U.S. Army 1965-66-67 rank of Sgt. E-5, Florida’s Gulfarium 1967 – 1969 as Show Director and Trainer of Sea Animals, K-9 Inc. in Hialeah, FL 1969 – 1970 dog trainer for obedience and home & business protection,  Ordnance Research Inc. 1971- 72  as Production Forman,  Destin Water Users, Inc. 1973 – 2008 from water & sewer operator to Manager,  Joined Okaloosa Sheriff’s Posse in Oct. 1977,  Florida State Law Enforcement  Auxiliary Course 1980  at Okaloosa Walton Jr. College.

HONORS AND AFFILATIONS:  Destin Volunteer Fire Dept. 1973 – 1996 and Fire Chief for 14 of those years, Dive Master for Destin Search and Recovery Team for 15 years, FL-1 Disaster Medical Team as Security Specialist Commander and EMT, Recipient of the Ross Marler Destin Citizenship Award  1987, International Foundation of Critical Incident Stress Debriefers as Peer Debriefer for emergency workers, Member of Destin United Methodist and a board member, First recipient of the Heimlich Save-A-Life Award 1989, Promoted to Captain of the Okaloosa Sheriff’s Posse 1989, Destin Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors 1992 – 98, President of Destin Chamber of Commerce 1995,  OCSO Life saving award 2011,  Presidential Volunteer Service Award for over 15,000 hours of volunteer service to the Okaloosa Sheriff’s Posse and Okaloosa County,  Posse member of the year for Okaloosa Sheriff’s Posse 2009.

HOBBIES:  Fly fishing, Bass fishing, Ham Radio Operator.
