A member of the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office Canine Unit will be
posthumously honored this week. A public ceremony is scheduled this Wednesday,
October 23, to honor K-9 "Beau," who died suddenly of an unexpected illness on
September 19.
Sheriff Charlie Morris will present a plaque recognizing Beau's four years of service. Deputy Johnny Eubanks will accept the award on behalf of his late partner.
The brief ceremony is set for 3:30 this Wednesday afternoon, October 23, at the Jury Assembly Room of the Okaloosa County Courthouse Annex in Shalimar. It is open to the public.
